Cognitive Search, a new preview feature in the existing Azure Search service, includes an enrichment pipeline allowing you to find rich structured information from documents. That information can then become part of your Azure Search index.
Azure Cosmos DB | Provision throughput at database level
Azure Cosmos DB customers with multiple collections can now provision throughput at a database level and share throughput across the database, making large collection databases cheaper to start and operate.
Windows Server version 1803
In this latest update to Windows Server, we've continued to prioritize customer feedback by delivering additional optimizations to the server core base container image to reduce footprint and download times. We’re also delivering increased application compatibility, better performance, additional Kubernetes support, and continued optimizations for native Linux containers through Hyper-V isolation.
Multi-container support from Azure App Service
You can now deploy web apps composed of multiple Docker containers to App Service on Linux, which takes care of capacity provisioning, load balancing, and underlying infrastructure maintenance. With this new capability, you can easily bring your Docker Compose or Kubernetes Pod definition to App Service and use powerful App Service capabilities such as built-in CI/CD, auto scaling, and intelligent diagnostics.
Azure SignalR Service
Azure SignalR Service, now in preview, is a fully-managed service that allows developers to focus on building real-time web experiences without worrying about capacity provisioning, reliable connections, scaling, encryption, or authentication.
Windows Server Container support from App Service
We are actively working on Windows Server Container support from App Service. Once support is available, developers will be able to lift and shift their .NET apps to Windows Server Container and deploy to Azure App Service.

The roadmap for the next major version of .NET Core, .NET Core 3.0, is now available. This will expand the supported workloads to Windows desktop, bringing Windows Presentation Foundation(WPF), Windows Forms (WinForms), and Universal Windows Platform (UWP) app frameworks to .NET Core.
Durable Functions now generally available
Announcing general availability of Durable Functions functionality in Azure Functions. Durable Functions is an Azure Functions extension for building long-running, stateful function orchestrations in code using C# in a serverless environment.
Cloud Events in Azure Event Grid
Support for Cloud Events in Azure Event Grid is now available in preview. Cloud Events is an open standard for events that has been developed as a part of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) in partnership with Microsoft, Google, IBM, Oracle, and other cloud vendors.
Multimaster support with Azure Cosmos DB
Now available in private preview, Azure Cosmos DB offers multi-master support at global scale together with low latency and high availability, tunable consistency models, and comprehensive and flexible conflict resolution support (custom, LWW, CRDTs).
