Azure Blob storage—NFS 3.0 protocol support public preview now expands to all regions
Starting today, Azure Blob Storage NFS 3.0 preview supports general purpose v2 (GPV2) storage accounts with standard tier performance in all publicly available regions.

Azure Purview resource set pattern rules available in public preview
Azure Purview is announcing the public preview of resource set pattern rules. A resource set is a single object in the data catalog that represents a large number of assets in storage. Resource set pattern rules allow you to customize or override how Azure Purview detects which assets are grouped as resource sets and how they are displayed within the catalog.
General availability: Lustre® HSM tools now available to import from or export to Azure Storage.
New tooling available for integrating Lustre file systems with an Azure storage account.
General availability: Azure Blob storage supports objects up to 200 TB in size
When moving from on premises, you no longer need to split your large files into separate parts to store and process in the cloud. Supporting a single object size up to 200TB removes one complexity when using Azure Storage.

New release of Azure Storage Explorer (v1.18.0) will decrease time to load, connect, and transfer data to Azure Storage.
General availability: Azure Media Services – HEVC encoding support in Standard Encoder
You can now use High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) or H.265 in the Standard Encoder. This new feature is available for Content Aware encoding, Adaptive Bitrate encoding, and creating your own custom transforms. Using HEVC along with supported decoding devices will provide you with the ability to deliver streaming content at reduced bitrates while maintaining the same video quality compared to H.264/AVC. This in turn will help reduce overall delivery costs through a CDN, and allow your viewers to receive higher quality streams on constrained networks.
Windows Server 2022 is now available in public preview

General availability: Soft delete for Azure file shares is now on by default for new storage accounts
Soft delete, which protects Azure file shares from accidental deletion, is now on by default for new storage accounts created after January 31st.
Append blob support for Azure Data Lake Storage is now in limited public preview
Applications can now create append blobs in addition to block blobs in Azure Data Lake Storage accounts and append to them using Append Block operations. Applications that need to add information to existing files efficiently and continuously can leverage append blobs.

The latest update of Azure Stream Analytics, now deployed in every supported region, provides support for larger reference data ( up to 5 GB), and add support for composite keys for blob output partitioning.
