We're thrilled to announce the General Availability of Azure API Management's newest pricing tiers – Basic v2 and Standard v2. The Azure API Management v2 pricing tiers represent a significant leap forward, offering a comprehensive range of capabilities tailored to projects of all sizes, from small-scale endeavors to large-scale enterprise applications. Importantly, these new v2 pricing tiers are available alongside our existing Azure API Management classic pricing tiers, ensuring continuity for users. It's worth noting that the Azure API Management classic pricing tiers remain actively supported and invested in.
GA: Azure API Management Developer Portal Unveils Enhanced Features for Increased Developer Productivity

The API Management developer portal is an automatically generated, fully customizable website with the documentation of your APIs. It's where API consumers can discover your APIs, learn how to use them, request access, and try them out. We recently improved the portal editor interface to boost your productivity and enhance the interactions with your favorite features and tools.

Breaking Changes to Azure API Management Workspaces

As part of our commitment to enhancing workspaces (in Public Preview) within Azure API Management, we are implementing several critical breaking changes effective June 14, 2024. These changes are designed to streamline functionality and improve overall performance. These breaking changes will be effective from June 14, 2024. We strongly advise making any necessary adjustments to your workspace configurations before this date to ensure uninterrupted service.
Public Preview: Modernizing Azure Resource Manager Throttling
In 2024, Azure Resource Manager is introducing a revamped throttling experience for subscriptions, with increased limits and a token bucket algorithm for managing requests. This will enhance API management and improve productivity. The transition to the new architecture will be gradual, leading to a more efficient and dynamic throttling experience. Customers now have the capability to configure the circuit breaker property in the backend resource, providing protection for a backend service against being overwhelmed by excessive requests.
