Log Analytics (OMS) brings the power of Microsoft’s new cloud-based management solution, Operations Management Suite, right into the Azure portal allowing you to provision a brand new OMS workspace, link workspaces to Azure subscriptions, and onboard Azure VMs directly to the OMS service. We invite you try out the free tier for Operations Management Suite, allowing 500 MB of daily upload and seven days of data retention.

ARM quickstart templates
Along with the Log Analytics resource we also have new Azure quickstart templates and Azure VM extensions to get you started. These templates allow you to quickly deploy a brand new Windows or Linux VM that instantly onboards to the OMS service. If you already have a large arsenal of ARM templates refer to the following documentation on how to add the Windows or Linux Azure VM Extension as a resource.
