Public preview: CSI storage driver support in Azure Kubernetes Service
Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) now supports Container Storage Interface (CSI), a standard for exposing arbitrary block and file storage systems to containerized workloads on Kubernetes. This offers more flexibility in exposing storage systems in Kubernetes.
Azure Blob storage—Network File System 3.0 protocol support public preview region expansion
NFS 3.0 support to block blob storage accounts with premium performance public preview regions now include: Australia Southeast, North Europe, UK West, Korea Central, Korea South, West Central US.

Lifecycle management for Azure Data Lake Storage provides an automated solution for tiering down infrequently used data to cooler tiers, allowing you to easily optimize your data for both performance and cost.
Azure Data Explorer LightIngest now supports actual creation time for historical data migration
LightIngest is a command-line utility for large volumes of data ingestion, and for querying records on the time created, rather than the time ingested.
Azure Backup locally redundant storage (LRS) and geo-redundant storage (GRS) data stored meter ID changes
Effective September 1, 2020, the meter IDs of Azure Backup—LRS and GRS data stored will change in the ZA West and ZA North regions.
Azure Blob storage—Network File System 3.0 protocol support is now in preview
NFS 3.0 protocol support for Azure Blob storage is now in preview. Azure Blob storage is the only storage platform that supports NFS 3.0 protocol over object storage natively (no gateway or data copying required), with crucial object storage economics.

New Azure Virtual Machines with high-performance local SSD are now generally available
The new Dd v4-series and Ed v4-series Azure Virtual Machines feature the Intel® Xeon® Platinum 8272CL custom processor. The Dd v4-series and Dds v4 virtual machine (VM) sizes are well suited for applications that benefit from low latency, high-speed local storage (up to 2,400 GiB.) The Edv4-series and Edsv4-series VM sizes are ideal for various memory-intensive enterprise applications and feature up to 504 GiB of RAM, in addition to high-performance local SSD storage (up to 2,400 GiB.)
