Azure Data Lake Storage lifecycle management is now generally available
Published date: July 31, 2020
Lifecycle management for Azure Data Lake Storage is now generally available. Lifecycle management policies provide an automated way to tier down files to the cool and archive tiers based on when the file was last modified. Data management is simplified by ensuring infrequently used data is stored in cooler tiers to lower costs. This helps analytics customers optimize their data for both performance and cost. Additionally, deletion policies are available to delete files after their desired retention periods.

Setting lifecycle management policies is free of charge. You’re only charged for transactions initiated by this feature. To learn more about pricing, visit the Azure Data Lake Storage pricing page.
