Csharp and Java SDKs for IoT Plug and Play are now in Preview
Published date: December 19, 2019
With the release of Csharp and Java PnP SDKs, device developers can now develop IoT Plug and Play devices using platforms such as Android and Windows to connect IoT Plug and Play enable devices to IoT Hub and IoT Central along with previously released Azure IoT SDK for C and Node.js
In IoT Central. Once you define your device template using the new interface you can easily create views to make the interaction with the device straightforward, not only for visualizing the device telemetry but also to interact with properties and commands, and all without writing any solution code.
The RESTful digital twin Csharp and Java APIs supported by Azure IoT Hub expose the capabilities of IoT Plug and Play device capability models and interfaces and enable developers to set properties to configure settings like alarm thresholds, send commands for operations such as resetting a device, route telemetry, and query which devices support a specific interface.
Also, if you use IoT Hub in one of the supported regions – Central US, North Europe and Japan East – you can use Azure IoT Explorer to interact with the device implemented interfaces.
