Deploy your Oracle-based enterprise applications on Azure. Whether you're running dev/test or in production, Oracle software on Windows and Linux is supported on Azure.
Now you can combine Java with the power of Azure. The Java development environment is now available in the Azure image marketplace.
After creating your account and signing in, navigate to the Microsoft Azure classic portal. The management portal is a modern, web-based experience where you can manage and configure all of your Azure services. From the new menu at the bottom of the portal, select Compute. You will have the option to select from a library of preconfigured virtual machine images. Select the appropriate Oracle software image from the list. If you don’t see the Oracle software you want, select Azure Marketplace to see additional solutions. There you will find several options that include Oracle Linux, Database, WebLogic Server, and Java Development Kit. Some include the licenses for the Oracle software, enabling you to pay as you go. Others are ready for you to bring your own license.
You will have the ability to configure your new Virtual Machine by providing a unique name, selecting the size of the virtual machine, and by providing a username and password. Don’t forget the username and password, since you will need it later to connect to your virtual machine. After providing your configuration settings, just click Create.
After a few minutes your virtual machine will be provisioned. Once the virtual machine is running, simply select it and click on the Connect button. Next, enter the username and password that you provided when creating the virtual machine. Finally, you will be connected through remote desktop directly into your new virtual machine running the Oracle software you selected. Learn how to configure an Oracle virtual machine for Azure.
