Today, Microsoft released a commissioned study from analyst firm IDC challenging the misperception that cloud computing is a job eliminator and suggesting that the cloud will in fact be a major source of job growth. IDC’s research indicates that by 2015, cloud computing will generate 14 million new jobs globally and revenues from cloud innovation could reach $1.1 trillion per year. Cloud efficiencies, combined with and revenues generated from cloud innovation are predicted to cause significant organizational reinvestment resulting in job growth.
