General Availability: Hyper-V Recovery Manager

Published date: January 16, 2014
Hyper-V Recovery Manager is generally available, includes full support and an SLA, and is ready for IT Admins to use in production. Protect important services by replicating and recovering System Center 2012 private clouds at a secondary location. We released updates in January 2014 that include support for:
  • Improved Failback: Failback support is improved when the primary host cluster is rebuilt after an outage.
  • Kerberos based Authentication:  Cloud configuration supports Kerberos-based authentication for Hyper-V Replica (when customers want to use 3rd party WAN optimization and compression and have AD trust available between primary and secondary sites).
  • Upgrade from VMM 2012 SP1 to VMM 2012 R2: HRM service supports upgrades from VMM 2012 SP1 to VMM 2012 R2. Users must install the latest HRM Provider on VMM before upgrading.
  • Improved Scale: The UI and service has been enhanced for better scale support.
