Support for organizational accounts

The MSDN Benefit for Azure Organizational Account enables eligible MSDN subscribers who are members of an organization to use their Organizational Accounts to develop and test applications in the cloud.

Eligible MSDN subscribers using their Azure Organizational Account get the same MSDN benefits that they would have received had they used their Microsoft account.

Organizations with MSDN subscriptions who need the flexibility to transfer Azure account services and benefits between different employees of the same organization. This is relevant for organizations that are concerned that an MSDN subscriber in their organization creating Azure assets under a Microsoft account could cause undue business risk when the person associated with that Microsoft account leaves the company.

This benefit is available for new or existing MSDN subscribers who have not yet activated their Azure MSDN benefit.

Enable team development and test scenarios

In addition to your individual MSDN subscription benefits that provide a monthly credit, we also have a great way for teams to work together. As an MSDN subscriber you can create multiple MSDN Dev and Test Pay-As-You-Go subscriptions, which allow team members to share the same subscription, enabling collaboration while also providing isolation between teams and environment. You also enjoy the same low MSDN usage rates. This offer is exclusively available for MSDN subscribers. Each co-administrator also needs to be an MSDN subscriber to be eligible for the deeply discounted development and test rates that are part of this offer.

Can I use my Azure MSDN dev and test subscription to run production applications?

Azure MSDN dev and test subscriptions are specifically for dev and test usage only. Production workloads must be run on regular subscriptions.

Are there any other limitations I should be aware of for this benefit?

The Azure MSDN benefit is for development and test purposes only and is offered at discounted usage rates. Usage within the Azure MSDN subscription does not carry a financially-backed SLA. We reserve the right to suspend any instance (VM or cloud service) that runs continuously for more than 120 hours or if we determine that the instance is being used for production. We are making this capacity available to MSDN subscribers on a best efforts basis; there is no guarantee of capacity availability.

Why should I consider using the MSDN dev and test pay-as-you-go offer instead of just extending my existing Azure MSDN subscription?

The MSDN dev and test pay-as-you-go offer enables account administrators to create multiple subscriptions, and to assign specific co-administrators, who are also MSDN subscribers, to each subscription. This enables multiple teams to have isolated environments and to control membership for each project separately.

Do all co-administrators need to be MSDN subscribers?

The deeply discounted development and test rates that are part of the MSDN dev and test pay-as-you-go offer require every account owner and co-administrator to be MSDN subscribers.

My organization has multiple MSDN subscribers. Can their Azure credits be pooled?

Credit pooling is not available, as the benefit is designed for individual subscriber usage.
