Now in preview, you can migrate PostgreSQL databases to Azure Database for PostgreSQL with minimal downtime by using the Azure Database Migration Service (DMS). Use the Azure CLI to provision an instance of the DMS service and then perform migrations from PostgreSQL on-premises or with virtual machines to Azure Database for PostgreSQL.
Virtual network service endpoints for Azure Database for PostgreSQL are generally available.
Customers who use Azure Database for PostgreSQL can create 4-TB servers or update existing PostgreSQL server storage to 4 TB when using the General Purpose or Memory Optimized pricing tier.
Scaling between hardware generations within services tiers and scaling between general-purpose and memory-optimized service tiers are now supported in all available regions.
