Today we are excited to announce the public preview of Azure Premium Blob Storage. Premium Block Blob is a new performance tier in Azure Blob Storage, complimenting the existing Hot, Cool, and Archive tiers.

Premium Blob Storage, which is currently in limited public preview, unlocks a new level of performance in public cloud object storage. It uses a combination of solid-state drives in our storage clusters and enhancements to our blob storage software to provide very fast response times.

Today we are excited to announce the limited public preview of Azure Premium Blob Storage, which introduces a new performance tier in Azure Blob Storage, complimenting the existing Hot, Cool, and Archive tiers.
