General availability: Azure Cosmos DB in Australia

Azure Cosmos DB is now generally available in the Australia East and Australia Southeast regions. Azure Cosmos DB is a fully managed, NoSQL, JSON database that supports queries and transactions across your data by indexing everything automatically. Customers use Azure Cosmos DB to support a wide range of application scenarios, including device registry, configuration stores in Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, the catalog, and user-generated data for web apps. Apps running in Australia can now offer experiences with lower latency. For a limited time, we’ll charge for S1, S2, and S3 Azure Cosmos DB hours at US West rates for all regions.
