Azure Cognitive Services has achieved human parity in image captioning
Published date: October 14, 2020
Microsoft researchers have built an artificial intelligence system that can generate captions for images that are in many cases more accurate than the descriptions people write as measured by the NOCAPS benchmark. The breakthrough is a milestone in Microsoft’s push to make its products and services inclusive and accessible to all users. Used in various Microsoft products, this innovation is now commercially available for developers via Computer Vision, part of Azure Cognitive Services.
