In late-March 2024, the following updates and enhancements were made to Azure SQL:
Configure a maintenance window for Azure SQL Database Hyperscale elastic pools to make maintenance events predictable and less disruptive on your workload.
The public preview of Azure SQL Database Hyperscale elastic pools is now available in Azure U.S. government regions.
