Public Preview – Support for WebSocket APIs in Azure API Management Self-hosted Gateway

We are announcing the native support for WebSocket APIs in the self-hosted gateway feature inside Azure API Management. The self-hosted gateway is a container image that hosts a version of our API Gateway. Customers can run multiple instances of this API Gateway in non-Azure environments like Kubernetes clusters on edge or other cloud environments.
With this preview you can now:
- Manage WebSocket APIs running in the edge or other cloud environments.
- Secure WebSocket APIs running in the edge or other cloud environments with existing access control policies (e.g., JWT validation).
- Get metrics and logs for monitoring and troubleshooting WebSocket APIs running in the edged or other cloud environments.
