  • Microsoft is expanding Azure Accelerate to include Azure Accelerate for Databases—an offering designed to help organizations modernize their databases and build AI‑ready capabilities on Azure, faster and with greater confidence. 
  • Azure Accelerate for Databases provides: 
     
    1. Access to trusted experts through Microsoft’s Cloud Accelerate Factory, Azure’s specialized partner ecosystem, and use of assessments and AI-enhanced tooling to guide modernization and new development 
    2. Savings up to 35% (vs. pay-go) with savings plan for databases1 and investments to advance your projects and lower initial costs2
    3. Free, on-demand, self-paced skilling content, on-demand expert-led training, and technical specialization with 50% discounts on Microsoft certification exams2
  • There are two ways to get started:
     
    1. Reach out to our Azure sales team for personalized guidance and insights on how to start with Azure Accelerate.
    2. Work with one of our specialized Azure partners to help you implement these solutions and ensure you get the most out of Azure's offerings.
  • You can mix and match program components depending on your business needs and program eligibility. Most customers start with the savings plan and Azure Accelerate, then once they have migrated to Azure, role-based training for the workforce.
  • In the Azure portal, review your Azure Advisor recommendations then add a savings plan or contact an Azure sales specialist or partner. Learn more.

    1. Choose savings plan for databases.
    2. Select the scope to apply savings plan benefit.
    3. Set your optimal hourly commitment amount by referring to personalized recommendations based on your recent usage.
    4. Pay upfront or monthly at no extra cost.

Savings plan for databases

Get started with a new way to save on eligible database services while maintaining the flexibility needed to modernize and grow your business.
Purchase a plan in the Azure portal

    Customers may see savings estimated to be between 0% and 35%. The 35% savings estimate is based on one Azure SQL Database serverless running for 12 months at a pay-as-you-go rate vs. a reduced rate for a 1-year savings plan. Based on Azure pricing as of March 2026. Prices are subject to change. Actual savings may vary based on location, database service, and/or usage.
