Today we are sharing an update to the Azure HDInsight integration with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen 2.

We are excited to announce In-Place restore of disks in IaaS VMs along with simplified restore improvements in Azure Backup. This feature helps roll back or fix corrupted virtual machines through in-place restore without the needs of spinning up a new VM.

Premium Blob Storage, which is currently in limited public preview, unlocks a new level of performance in public cloud object storage. It uses a combination of solid-state drives in our storage clusters and enhancements to our blob storage software to provide very fast response times.
