FAQs
Q: Can I still order new FXT Edge Filers?
A: Orders for FXT Edge Filers will be accepted through December 2023. After December 2023, no new orders will be accepted.

Q: How long will I have support for my FXT hardware?
A: FXT hardware support licenses are renewed yearly. The last yearly renewal will be Dec 2025 which provides support through 2026.

Q: Is there any way to get support beyond 2026?
A: No. There will be no support for FXT Edge Filers after 2026. This means no hardware support for any components and no software support for any issues.

Q: Does this mean that my FXTs will stop working in 2027?
A: Not at all! There is no switch that flips or code that's triggered in 2027 that will disable your devices. Microsoft will not stop the use of your FXTs. You may continue to use your hardware for as long as you’d like.

Q: Do I get support for both hardware (like RMAs) and software?
A: If you maintain an active support license, then yes, you will receive support for both the FXT hardware and software. Hardware support means getting hardware replacements for parts or units that are still supported. Software support means the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of the FXT software.

Q: I still have questions about ordering or support. Where can I go for more information?
A: Navigate to Microsoft Q&A for Azure FXT Edge Filer and post your question there. The FXT team follows this page and will respond within a few days.
