Migrate users from federated authentication to Azure AD cloud authentication in groups or phases and manage from the Azure AD portal. Cloud authentication (Pass-through authentication or Password Hash Sync) enables benefits such as no real-time dependency on existing on-premises infrastructure, leaked credential protection, and seamless single-sign on.
