Public preview: Run Event Grid on Kubernetes in Azure or anywhere with Azure Arc

Published date: May 25, 2021

Now in preview, Azure Event Grid can run on Kubernetes clusters in Azure or anywhere with Azure Arc. With this preview, you no longer need to choose between fully-managed Event Grid on Azure and the control of Kubernetes. You can now run Event Grid on Azure or choose to deploy on Kubernetes in Azure or your own Kubernetes clusters connected through Azure Arc that are running on-premises, at the edge, or in other clouds.

Event Grid vastly simplifies event-based application development and provides customers with a single service for managing routing of all events from any source to any destination. The option to simply configure and enable any Kubernetes clusters and select those clusters as a deployment target when setting up their Event Grid.

During this preview, Event Grid on Kubernetes using Azure Arc will be available for free in US East and West Europe regions, with additional regions being added in time.
