PostgreSQL 10.3 released on Azure Database for PostgreSQL

Monday, June 4, 2018

PostgreSQL major version 10 is now available on Azure Database for PostgreSQL. Features in this version include improved query parallelism and declarative table partitioning.

To start using this version, create a new Azure Database for PostgreSQL server by using the Azure portal or Azure CLI and select version 10. You can read about the changes in version 10 that might affect compatibility with previous versions on the Postgres website.

Note that with the release of version 10, the Postgres community has moved to a new versioning naming convention as described in their documentation.
