Announcing support for installing public certificates in App Service
Published date: June 27, 2017
Azure App Service now supports installing public certificates in personal certificate stores. Until there’s a user-friendly experience to expose this functionality via the Azure portal, you can use ARMClient, Azure Resource Explorer, Azure PowerShell, or the Azure CLI for calling the corresponding back-end APIs to use this feature right away.
To support public certificates, we’ve created a new Azure Resource Manager resource type called sites/publicCertificates under the Microsoft.Web resource provider. Each instance of this resource represents a certificate installed in your App Service instance.
You can use a Resource Manager template to install a public certificate inside an existing App Service instance.
