HPC Cache receives ISO certifications, adds stopping feature, and new region

Published date: February 11, 2020

The ISO certifications are complete for Azure HPC Cache. The service offering has been certified under ISO 27001, 27018 and 27701. The ISO/IEC 27000 family of standards helps organizations of every type and size keep information assets secure.

Today, Azure HPC Cache added the ability to start and stop caches quickly with a click of a button. Your cache settings are saved so you can quickly relaunch the cache when needed without rebuilding your configuration. This feature allows users to reduce costs during inactive periods by eliminating the cost of the caching service (the costs associated with the cache’s disk storage still apply.)

Finally, regional support for Azure HPC Cache has been expanded to Korea Central.
