Updated: September 29, 2016
Azure Storage announces the general availability of Storage Service Encryption for Azure Blob storage (block and page blobs) with any new storage account created through Azure Resource Manager. Accounts enabled with this feature will have data encrypted with Microsoft-managed keys using the industry-leading encryption algorithm, 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256). Microsoft performs key management, rotation, and compliance with key standards.
