Deleting abandoned AKS clusters

Posted on Monday, October 22, 2018

We've recently discovered that a few Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) deployments have been left abandoned after customers deleted the resource group that contained all the resources (VMs, disks, virtual networks, etc.) related to the cluster. Because these abandoned clusters can't be resurrected, we recommend that you delete such AKS deployments. If no action is taken on these abandoned deployments before November 30, 2018, we will delete all abandoned deployments on that day.
