Azure HDInsight now enables you to customize Azure SQL Database for Ambari

Posted on Wednesday, November 6, 2019

A new Azure HDInsight capability enables you to customize and upgrade your own Azure SQL Database for Apache Ambari during cluster creation.

Ambari is used to monitor HDInsight clusters, make configuration changes, and store cluster management information as well as job history. HDInsight provides a default SQL Database for each cluster. Now, scale up your Apache Spark and Hadoop jobs on HDInsight clusters by configuring SQL Database settings according to your business growth requirements. It’s also possible to start with a basic database and upgrade later.

Learn how to set up HDInsight clusters with a custom Ambari database.
