Azure Health Data Services is the evolved version of Azure API for FHIR that enables customers to manage FHIR, DICOM, and MedTech services with integrations into other Azure services. In addition to consumption-based pricing that can lower costs, Azure Health Data Services FHIR service provides a rich set of capabilities including:
- Autoscaling at no cost
- Transaction bundle support and search improvements
- Enhanced capabilities for data integration & analytics through converter tools, incremental bulk import, Eventing and Power BI connector
To avoid service disruptions, follow the migration strategies to migrate to Azure Health Data Services before 30 September 2026.
