Public preview: New version of Azure Active Directory PowerShell cmdlets

Published date: July 13, 2016

A new version of Azure Active Directory PowerShell cmdlets is released in preview. This preview marks a first step on a journey to renew the existing MSOL PowerShell cmdlets. One of the key features of this release is the close alignment of the PowerShell functionality with the Active Directory Graph API capabilities. We are also moving toward a faster and more agile release process for new or updated functionality of these cmdlets.

These new PowerShell cmdlets provide more functionality in several areas, most notably for Modern Authentication and Multi-Factor Authentication. They include management of applications and certificate authorities.

For a full list of available cmdlets and how to use them, please read the Azure AD PowerShell V2 reference documentation. We also invite you to try out the new Azure AD module, which you can install from the PowerShell Gallery.
