AMD and Azure

Open new frontiers of innovation across your cloud and hybrid workloads with joint solutions from AMD and Azure.
OVERVIEW

Discover AMD on Azure

Azure Virtual Machines featuring AMD EPYC™ processors, AMD Instinct™ accelerators, and AMD Radeon™ PRO graphics provide powerful, cost-effective solutions for a wide range of workloads.
  • Power your most common Linux and Windows compute workloads. Choose from general purpose, memory optimized, compute optimized, storage optimized, and burstable VMs across five generations of AMD EPYC™ processors.
  • Powered by AMD since 2019, HB-series VMs come with technology such as AMD 3D V-Cache™ and high-bandwidth memory not available in HPC offerings elsewhere. Together, Azure and AMD deliver HPC with near-infinite scalability for the most complex workloads.
  • Azure’s AMD based DCa/ECa v5 and v6 confidential VMs use AMD’s Secure Encrypted Virtualization Secure Nested Paging (SEV-SNP) technology to help protect data in use in memory inside a hardware-based and attested trusted execution environment (TEE).
  • Choose IaaS or use services built on AMD infrastructure for your AI workloads—including data prep for training runs with HPC VMs, inference and training with AMD Instinct MI300X GPUs, and inference and machine learning workloads with Da/Ea/Fa-v7 or the NVads V710 v5.
  • Deploy affordable, modern desktop experiences on Azure with AMD, whether through VMs or managed in Azure Virtual Desktop. For a workstation in the cloud experience, consider NV V710 v5 VMs. For everyday VDI, consider Da/Ea-series v7 or v6 VMs.
