Get started exploring SAP HANA today. Use the SAP Cloud Appliance Library to add the SAP HANA Developer Edition to your Azure subscription, then follow the six steps below to be up and running in less than 30 minutes.
Create a new account
Create a new account to log into the SAP Cloud Appliance Library. Select Azure as the cloud provider and enter your subscription ID.
Download the certificate
Download the management certificate when prompted.
Add SAP management certificate to Azure
Log into the Azure Portal using the subscription you provided and upload it to Management Certificates under Settings.
Activate free trial
Activate your free trial of SAP HANA Developer Edition.
Create instance of SAP HANA
Enter the required information to create an instance of SAP HANA Developer Edition.
Once completed, your new instance of SAP HANA Developer Edition will be up and running on Azure.
SAP on Azure is certified to run on Oracle Database. Oracle has enabled its customers to bring their existing Oracle Database licenses to Azure—with full technical, enterprise-class support from Oracle. Learn more about running Oracle on Azure.

SAP will provide support for SAP products and services, and Microsoft will provide support for Microsoft products and services, including Microsoft Azure platform services. For customers with Microsoft Premier Support, SAP is able to engage Microsoft on behalf of the customer. Microsoft Premier Support does not offer assistance in the design, architecture, development, or deployment of applications or solutions on Microsoft Azure. For SAP HANA Developer Edition, support is provided through SAP community support.
Customers who have SAP licenses can use them to deploy SAP software in Microsoft Azure.
Customers will consume and pay for the underlying Microsoft Azure services as with any other deployment.
Standard purchase models, pricing and terms will be applicable for those underlying Microsoft Azure services.
