Michael MacKenzie is the Vice President of Digital Operations at Microsoft, where he leads the strategic vision to connect the world’s operations through cutting-edge digital solutions. In this role, he drives innovation across cloud technologies, edge computing, IoT, and artificial intelligence to transform enterprise and industrial ecosystems.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Michael served as General Manager for AWS IoT and Edge, spearheading the development of cloud-connected services for Enterprise and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). His leadership enabled advancements in Smart Buildings, Smart Cities, and Smart Manufacturing.
Earlier in his career, Michael held roles as the Global Vice President of the EcoStruxure Technology Platform, Software Solution Architect, and Software Engineer at Schneider Electric, a global leader in automation and energy management. During this time, he played a pivotal role in shaping the future of connected Industrial systems.
Michael holds an MBA in Executive Management with a specialization in Innovation and International Business from Royal Roads University, and completed an MBA Residency in Leading Innovation at Grenoble Ecole de Management. He is also certified in Cybersecurity: Managing Risk in the Information Age from Harvard University.
