General availability: Azure Sphere TKS updated; OS version 22.11 expected December 1
Veröffentlichungsdatum: 15 November, 2022
Trusted Keystore (TKS) update
We have released an update to the trusted keystore of Azure Sphere devices which will result in all devices (regardless of whether they are on the Retail or Retail Eval feed) installing this update and rebooting. This small update does not change the OS version. For more information, see Azure Sphere – Image signing certificate update.
OS version 22.11 available for retail evaluation devices
Azure Sphere OS version 22.11 is now available for evaluation in the Retail Eval feed. The retail evaluation period provides 17 days for backwards compatibility testing. We have increased the duration of this retail evaluation period by 3 days as compared to the normal 14 days because of US holidays this month. During this time, please verify that your applications and devices operate properly with this release before it's deployed broadly via the Retail feed. The Retail feed will continue to deliver OS version 22.10 until we publish the 22.11 update in two weeks.
Devices in Retail Eval will reboot twice, due to first applying the TKS update and then applying the 22.11 OS update.
The evaluation release of version 22.11 includes an OS update only; it does not include an updated SDK. When 22.11 is generally available in December, an updated SDK will be included. Areas of special focus for compatibility testing with 22.11 should include apps and functionality utilizing:
DHCP for IP address and DNS server configuration, and any custom DNS control
Malloc, manual memory management, and any MUSL calls including multi-threaded initialization
IoT Hub and IoT C SDK features
