Managing your data can be challenging. Using Azure Arc, leverage your existing infrastructure or extend Azure to other clouds for a consistent management experience. Unify, govern, and secure databases across your entire IT environment by connecting them through Azure Arc. Optimize performance and costs with elasticity and cloud billing and keep SQL environments evergreen without the downtime.

Get seamless automated updates for your SQL databases no matter where they live to keep them always up to date. Updates are automated and seamless, compared to traditional lengthy on-premises updates. Eliminate patching and end-of-support issues to maximize efficiencies and minimize disruptions.

Optimize performance and costs with the elasticity of Azure Arc. Scale data workloads up or down based on demand without application downtime. With a cloud billing model, pay for only what you use, drop fixed licensing costs, and gain greater transparency for application performance.

Easily extend Azure capabilities to any environment by leveraging the tools your team is already familiar with. Manage databases across your entire IT landscape right from the Azure portal. Spin up new instances in minutes compared to hours for greater performance efficiency with complete data replication and high availability. By doing more with less, direct resources where they matter most.

Protect your data with multilayer security both on premises and with Azure security capabilities. Extend key features including transparent database encryption anywhere your workloads need to run. Azure role-based access control and Azure Policy deliver the multilayer protection your data requires.

Extend cloud benefits wherever data workloads need to run, with or without direct and continuous connection to Azure. The local Azure Arc data controller provides a full set of data management features—including provisioning, scaling, automated updates, high availability, backup, and monitoring—for maximum flexibility and consistency across your self-hosted environments.
