Terms for customers:
The qualification period for this offer has now come to an end and this offer is no longer available. Microsoft provides Standard support (with exclusions) from July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024 to Microsoft Azure customers that meet all the following eligibility qualifications:

Purchased Microsoft Azure services under an Enterprise Agreement (EA), Enrollment for Education Solutions (EES), Server Cloud Enrollment (SCE), or Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) from a Microsoft representative.

Have an agreement for Azure, Azure Government or Azure Germany, excluding accounts for Premier support, Advanced Support for Partners, and Microsoft Azure Operated by 21Vianet accounts in China.

Sign or renew the agreement between the qualification term of July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024.

All new customers who purchase Azure services starting July 1, 2023 will receive Azure Standard support at no charge for the 6-month period within the qualification term. The 6-month period begins on the date that the agreement is signed or renewed and ends on the date of 6 months after the agreement is signed or renewed, or June 30th, 2024, whichever comes first.
The qualification period for this offer ended on 30 June 2024 and it is no longer available to new, existing, or prior Azure customers.

Through this offer, Microsoft may provide certain benefits to government customers at no additional charge. Microsoft waives any and all entitlement to compensation from government customers for such benefits. Microsoft intends that the provision of these benefits to government customers will fully comply with applicable gift, ethics, and other laws and regulations related to gratuitous goods and services. Microsoft intends that the provision of these services shall be for the sole benefit and use of government customers and not for the personal use or benefit of any individual government employee.
Microsoft, in its sole discretion, may terminate, modify or revise the terms of this EA support offer at any time. Customer may terminate its participation in the EA support offer at any time by notifying Microsoft in writing.

Microsoft is discontinuing the EA and MCA-E Support Plan Promotional Offer on 30 June 2024 (details above). This offer provided customers with the aforementioned agreements with Standard support at no additional cost to the customer. Starting 1 July 2024, customers who had support through this offer must purchase a support plan. Customers who already have a separate support plan such as Microsoft Unified are not impacted by this change.

You will continue to have access to Basic support for subscription management and billing. If you wish to maintain technical support coverage, you can purchase either with your Microsoft representative or partner. If you have a billing account for a Microsoft Customer Agreement, you can also purchase it within the Azure portal. More details on Azure support plan benefits are available here.

No. This Azure Support Plan Offer is not transferable and cannot be converted into any other benefit.

Premier and Unified support customers are currently receiving a broader level of support than what is available through this EA Upgrade Offer. Azure technical support hours (Problem Resolution Services) are not decremented from your Premier or Unified contract.
