Prices are estimates only and are not intended as actual price quotes. Actual pricing may vary depending on the type of agreement entered with Microsoft, date of purchase, and the currency exchange rate. Prices are calculated based on US dollars and converted using London closing spot rates that are captured in the two business days prior to the last business day of the previous month end. If the two business days prior to the end of the month fall on a bank holiday in major markets, the rate setting day is generally the day immediately preceding the two business days. This rate applies to all transactions during the upcoming month. Sign in to the Azure pricing calculator to see pricing based on your current program/offer with Microsoft. US government entities are eligible to purchase Azure Government services from a licensing solution provider with no upfront financial commitment, or directly through a pay-as-you-go online subscription.
Important—The price in R$ is merely a reference; this is an international transaction and the final price is subject to exchange rates and the inclusion of IOF taxes. An eNF will not be issued.

Compute
Azure HorizonDB supports your most demanding requirements with support for up to 192 vCores per compute node, i.e. the primary or the replica. Pricing is per vCore and based on the compute you provision for both the primary instance and high availability replicas—ensuring consistent performance across all nodes. You get the same robust compute configuration for each, delivering reliability and scale for mission-critical workloads. Azure HorizonDB is available in a limited set of regions during public preview, with additional regions rolling out over time. Please refer to the documentation for the most up‑to‑date list of supported regions.

Backup storage
Backup storage is the storage associated with automated backups of your Azure HorizonDB cluster. Increasing your backup retention period increases the backup storage that is consumed by your cluster. There is no charge for backup storage for up to 100% of the total initial size of your cluster. Additional backup storage consumption will be charged in GiB/month.

AI models
Azure HorizonDB lets you enable Microsoft Foundry models directly on your cluster. When enabled, the model is provisioned in Microsoft Foundry and can be invoked from SQL, no separate AI service required.
There are no additional Azure HorizonDB charges for model management. Model usage is billed by Microsoft Foundry at its standard rates and included in your Azure HorizonDB bill. Pricing aligns with the published Microsoft Foundry model catalog. You pay for actual usage (for example, per 1M tokens or per image or embedding, depending on the model), with no markup or minimum commitment.
See the Microsoft Foundry pricing page for the full, current list of models and per-model rates. Charges for Microsoft Foundry model usage appear on your Azure HorizonDB invoice under "AI model management.”
