Azure AI Foundry pricing

Azure AI Foundry brings together capabilities from across the Azure AI portfolio

Azure AI Foundry is the unified platform that allows developers to explore models and APIs, build and test generative AI solutions with responsible AI practices and tooling, and deploy and monitor solutions in production. Pricing occurs at the deployment level for each of the products consumed.

Prices are estimates only and are not intended as actual price quotes. Actual pricing may vary depending on the type of agreement entered with Microsoft, date of purchase, and the currency exchange rate. Prices are calculated based on US dollars and converted using London closing spot rates that are captured in the two business days prior to the last business day of the previous month end. If the two business days prior to the end of the month fall on a bank holiday in major markets, the rate setting day is generally the day immediately preceding the two business days. This rate applies to all transactions during the upcoming month. Sign in to the Azure pricing calculator to see pricing based on your current program/offer with Microsoft. Prompt flow Prompt flow is a tool designed to streamline the entire development cycle of AI applications. See pricing details for prompt flow
Automated Evaluations Use built-in metrics or your own custom metrics to systematically measure and improve the quality and safety of application outputs before deploying to production. AI-assisted evaluations for performance and quality metrics require connections to GPT models available in Azure OpenAI Service.

AI-assisted evaluations for risk and safety metrics incur charges of:
  • $-/1M input tokens
  • $-/1M output tokens
For all other evaluation metrics (NLP metrics), see compute costs.
Azure AI Agent Service Azure AI Agent Service enables professional developers to build, deploy and scale enterprise-grade AI agents that automate complex business processes by completing specific tasks while keeping humans at the center. See pricing page for Azure OpenAI Assistants for File Search and Code Interpreter.

See pricing page for Azure OpenAI Service and model catalog for consuming model tokens.

You will incur separate charges and licenses for knowledge connections including Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft SharePoint, Grounding with Bing Search, Azure AI Search, and your own licensed data. Additionally, you will be charged for automation that are available now or added in the future, for example, Azure Logic Apps and Azure Function.

1Currently there is no charge for the following features: Langchain, semantic kernel.

Azure DevOps Integrations Azure DevOps supports a collaborative culture and set of processes that bring together developers, project managers, and contributors to develop software. It allows organizations to create and improve products at a faster pace than they can with traditional software development approaches. See pricing details for Azure DevOps
Monitoring1, 2 Track model and application performance in production, including token usage, the quality of generated outputs, and other operational metrics. Extend these capabilities with Azure Monitor Application Insights for advanced application performance monitoring. See compute costs for monitoring in Azure AI Foundry

Azure Monitor Application Insights is billed through the Log Analytics workspace into which its log data ingested. Learn more about Azure Monitor logs pricing options.
Real-time endpoints Not available See pricing details for real-time endpoints1

1Compute costs are calculated by hourly usage. Azure AI stores the logged inference data in Azure Blob Storage, which incurs storage costs.

2AI-assisted evaluations for quality metrics require valid connections to GPT-3 and GPT-4 models available in Azure OpenAI Service.
