          • To create offers in the Microsoft commercial marketplace, your organization first needs to become a Microsoft partner by agreeing to the Microsoft Partner Agreement and accepting the Publisher agreement.

            To sign up to be a commercial marketplace publisher, go to Partner Center.

          • Microsoft AppSource surfaces line of business, industry and productivity applications and services that integrate into Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform services.

            Azure Marketplace surfaces category and workload building block applications that IT professionals and developers can use that are built on Azure or used within Azure subscriptions themselves.

          • No, there's no cost to publish offers in Microsoft commercial marketplace. However, we do keep a small percentage of the sale as a transaction fee--which has reduced from an industry-standard 20 percent to 3 percent for all transactions starting this month.

          • After you sign up and accept the Publisher Agreement, you'll have access to the commercial marketplace page in Partner Center. This is where you create and manage offers and where you view analytics reports. For more information, see Welcome to the commercial marketplace.

          • Offers that are purchased in Azure Marketplace require an Azure account for billing purposes. Solutions that are used directly in Azure also require an Azure account. Solutions that are used in Microsoft 365 applications or Dynamics 365 applications require an existing subscription to Microsoft 365 or Dynamics 365 respectively.
