Azure App Service Environment v3 support for Windows Containers is now generally available
Published date: November 02, 2021
Windows Container support in App Service Environment v3 (ASEv3) has reached general availability. This support makes it possible for customers to migrate on-premises apps that require custom configuration to the fully isolated and dedicated ASEv3 environment, using Windows Containers.
This is particularly valuable for customers who need a single-tenant PaaS environment to satisfy compliance and security requirements, but don’t want to rearchitect their on-premises apps to run in the cloud. Using a custom Windows container in ASEv3 lets customers make the OS and software configuration updates they need to make, while also making it easy to migrate to the secure ASEv3 environment.
