The following Azure Cognitive Services capabilities are now generally available:
Neural Text to Speech applies the latest in deep learning innovation. The neural text to speech capability makes the voices of apps nearly indistinguishable from recordings of people. The natural inflection and clear articulation significantly reduce listening fatigue when interacting with AI systems.
Computer vision read extracts text from the most common file types. It has added PDF and TIFF support as well as the ability to read multi-page documents.
Text analytics named entity recognition (NER) supporting English and Spanish languages. NER is the ability to take free-form text and identify the occurrences of entities such as people, locations, and organizations. We’ve also released 19 new language models for preview, expanding our NER language coverage to a total of 21.
