Azure Sphere classic CLI will be retired on 30 September 2024 please transition to Azure Sphere CLI by that date. 

The Azure Sphere classic CLI has been superseded by the Azure Sphere CLI which provides additional commands and enhanced security. Additionally, as support for an Azure CLI extension is now available in public preview, this retirement will help to consolidate and simplify the Azure Sphere customer experience. 

 
The existing experience that Azure Sphere classic CLI offers will no longer be included in the Azure Sphere SDK or supported starting 30 September 2024. Although you can still use Azure Sphere classic CLI beyond 30 September 2024, it will no longer receive updates from Microsoft. We encourage you to migrate to Azure Sphere CLI before that date.

Please follow our instructions to migrate from Azure Sphere classic CLI to Azure Sphere CLI by 30 September 2024.
