Azure Automation will begin redirecting users to the new portal in September

Azure Automation will begin redirecting users from the classic Azure portal to the new Azure portal on September 1, 2016. After this date, when you try to access Automation in the classic portal, you will be redirected to the new Azure portal. This change applies only to the public Azure cloud and does not apply to Azure Government or Azure China clouds at this time.

Automation offers all the existing classic functionality in the new portal, and all your existing accounts will be available in the new portal. Additionally, some features are available only in the new portal: 

• Hybrid runbook workers
• PowerShell script runbooks
• Graphical runbooks
• Desired State Configuration
• Webhooks
• Weekly and monthly schedules and daylight savings support
• Run As accounts for Azure authentication
• Source control integration
