IPv6 for Azure Virtual Network is now generally available
IPv6 for Azure Virtual Network is now generally available worldwide. IPv6 support within the Azure Virtual Network and to the Internet enables you to expand into the growing mobile and IoT markets with Azure-based applications and to address IPv4 depletion in your own corporate networks.
Azure Advisor data in Azure Resource Graph is now available
This release enables many at-scale scenarios for consuming the Azure Advisor best practice recommendations, including querying Advisor recommendations for all your subscriptions and building your own custom views of Advisor recommendation data.
Azure Ultra Disks – Shared disk capability is now in preview
Shared disks now includes Ultra Disks (in preview).
Azure Managed Disks – Incremental snapshots are now available
Get a cost-effective, point-in-time backup of managed disks using incremental snapshots. Unlike current snapshots, which are billed for the full size, incremental snapshots are billed for the delta changes to disks since the last snapshot.
New Azure Disk sizes and bursting support are now available
Azure Managed Disks are the new and recommended disk storage offering for use with Azure virtual machines for persistent storage of data. Use multiple Managed Disks with each virtual machine. Four types of managed disks are available – ultra disk, premium SSD-managed disks, standard SSD-managed disks and standard HDD-managed disks.
Server-side encryption with customer-managed keys for Azure Managed Disks is generally available
Server-side encryption with customer-managed keys for Azure Managed Disks is now available. It improves on platform-managed keys by giving you control of the encryption keys to meet your compliance need. It improves on Azure Disk encryption by enabling you to use any OS types and images for your virtual machines by encrypting data in the Azure Storage service.
