Public Preview: Azure Monitor Agent supports VM Insights in Azure Government Cloud

Azure Monitor VM Insights can now be enabled via the Azure Monitor Agent in Azure Government Cloud, as a public preview. VM insights provides a quick and easy method for getting started monitoring the client workloads on your virtual machines and virtual machine scale sets.
The Azure Monitor agent has several advantages over the deprecated Log Analytics agent. It's the preferred agent for virtual machines and virtual machine scale sets. For a comparison of the agents and information on migrating, see Migrate to Azure Monitor agent from Log Analytics agent.
