Announcing Azure HPC Cache Retirement

Hello Azure HPC Cache customers in the community,
Azure HPC Cache will be retired on 30 September 2025. You can still create HPC Caches through September 2025. 
Please see a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) below.

FAQs
Q: Can I continue to create HPC Caches?
A: Yes. You may continue to create and delete HPC Caches through the retirement date of September 30, 2025.

Q: Will I be able to create new HPC Caches after the retirement date?
A: No. You will not be able to create new HPC Caches after the retirement date.

Q: Will I still have support for my HPC Caches?
A: Yes. Support for HPC Caches will continue through September 30, 2025. If you need assistance setting up, configuring, or troubleshooting your HPC Caches, our support team will be able to help you through September 30, 2025.

Q: What happens after September 30, 2025? Will my HPC Cache stop working?
A: After the retirement date, the service will be removed from Azure. To prevent any disruption, delete all HPC Caches by the retirement date. 

Q: Is there any way to get support for my HPC Cache after the retirement date?
A: No. Support for HPC Cache ends September 30, 2025. There will be no software support for any HPC Cache issues after the retirement date.

Q: Will I continue to be billed for HPC Cache resources in my subscription after the retirement date?
A: Yes. As with all other Azure resources, billing will continue for resources in your subscription. This means that you will continue to be billed for any HPC Cache resources in your subscription even after the retirement date. To stop HPC Cache billing, remove all HPC Cache resources from your subscription.

Q: Will Microsoft delete my HPC Cache resources (like VMs, disks, and NICs) after the retirement date?
A: Microsoft will not remove your HPC Cache resources before the retirement date.

Q: I still have questions about ordering or support. Where can I go for more information?
A: Start by posting your question to the Azure HPC Cache Q&A board here. You can also contact your Microsoft account team. They will work with the product team to get you the answers you need.
