General availability: Azure Monitor Agent and Data Collection Rules now support direct proxies and Log Analytics gateway

After the recent general availability announcement for the new Azure Monitor Agent (AMA) and Data Collection Rules, today we are announcing support for direct proxies and Log Analytics gateway.
The proxy support for AMA is:
- Configured using the VM extension parameters
- Enables configuring agent specific proxy at an application level, instead of using system wide proxy
- Supports both anonymous and basic authentication (username/password) proxies
Start migrating to the new Azure Monitor Agent and Data Collection Rules, now that it supports proxy network configuration as well. You can review migration guidance and limitations for more information.
