Prometheus 是熱門的開放原始碼計量監視解決方案，且屬於 Cloud Native Computing Foundation。許多客戶喜歡 Prometheus 在 Kubernetes 上提供的各種計量。不過，他們也喜歡可以輕鬆使用的適用於容器的 Azure 監視器，原因是它能提供管理完善又現成可用的 Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) 叢集監視。Prometheus 與適用於容器的 Azure 監視器整合現已推出預覽，結合了兩者的最佳優勢。
一般來說，您必須設定及管理具有資料庫的 Prometheus 伺服器，才能使用 Prometheus。不過，在與 Azure 監視器整合後，就不需要 Prometheus 伺服器了。您只要透過匯出工具或 Pod (應用程式) 公開 Prometheus 端點，適用於容器的 Azure 監視器容器化代理程式就會為您取得計量。提供使用 Azure 監視器收集 Prometheus 計量的完美整合體驗。
