Azure Database for MySQL – Flexible Server standby server selection in public preview

Azure Database for MySQL - Flexible Server now allows you to select your standby server’s zone. In case of any outrages, the standby server will be switched to become the new primary server. While creating an Azure Database for MySQL - Flexible Server, you have the option to choose not only the primary server availability zone but also the standby server availability zone. Having the ability to choose the standby server location assists in outage scenario planning for reduced latency by planning for co-locating the standby application and standby Azure Database for MySQL - Flexible Server.
