Azure Load Balancer standard HA Ports
Date updated: 19 April 2018
HA ports, a premium offering of the Azure Load Balancer, are now in public preview. This will enable customers to configure a single load-balancing rule to process traffic from all protocols and ports, thus enabling deployment of services or appliances in high-availability mode. This rule will make it easier to load-balance the virtual network traffic from multiple different sources onto the required back-end pool, regardless of the port numbers. By replacing multiple load-balancing rules with a single rule, customers will now avoid the max rule limit and reduce the complexity of ARM templates. This capability will unlock important scenarios, including network virtual appliances high-availability and port range configuration.
